Project Management
Almost everything is changing today and change itself creates further need to change.
Climate change, for example, will drive enormous change in the future, not only
to manage the consequences but to reverse the causes. These changes will in turn
drive governments and businesses across the world to continuously adapt to a constantly
changing multi-dimensional environment.
Change itself is complex as we see, for example, with the over use of natural resources
and the disposal of manufactured materials no longer required with consequences
not previously considered.
To ensure our future, change has to be managed confidently but carefully; and project
management can play a major role in this process by ensuring that projects meet
the needs, are run efficiently, create more value and reduce waste during the implementation,
the life cycle and the final disposal of the deliverables.
So, what is project management? We believe project management provides a focus for
the project, a framework for the evolution of change management and a set of robust
tools and techniques which sits above a solid “general management” foundation. These
tools and techniques replace those general management processes which are not geared
to a rapidly changing situation.
It is vitally important therefore that the project management team have highly evolved
general management skills as well as project management knowledge.
This is why we have introduced many courses and workshops which are focused on providing
the project personnel with an all round management experience. We provide project
management qualification courses and many business and general management skill
courses. Here we show only a small selection of the management technology available
but we can provide what you need to be successful through our development programmes.
