Our Project Training

This section of our training is focused on project management and project skill. Several are accredited and public examinations can be taken.

Project management is becoming well established today with the project management bodies around the world releasing frequent updates to their bodies of knowledge (BoK’s) and syllabi for their accredited courses. The language of project management is itself an important topic and is expanding everyday with the inclusion of more techniques and processes. Knowing precisely what people mean in a very fast paced environment is important to say the least.

The project management courses which we run provide a clear overview of the topic, complex as it is. As project management is growing more complex, the project manager is expected to keep his skill set relevant and this has put enormous pressure on them. As so many people rely on the project manager’s wisdom and capability during the project, it seems inevitable that he/she must maintain an increasingly greater skill set.

The Association for Project Management (APM) and Project Management Institutes (PMI) project management overview is a good starting point for all people who work in or around projects, including the project manager or business manager handling change initiatives. But these qualifications are just a start, they are an overview only. The more involvement you have in managing change the more it becomes essential to develop your skill set. Managing change is not about knowledge itself, it is all about capability, competence and skills. Successful project managers are characterised by their capabilities, their ability to get things done and to take charge of the implementation process. They choose their own tools and develop their own environment for success. They are skillful.

The skill training we offer supplements this overview with hard skills and capability, allowing you to keep up with the heavy demands placed upon you. It is true that projects can be exciting, but it is hard work to manage them well and project managers will welcome staff who have high levels of skill. We therefore see our project management skill training as adding considerable value to those who attend these courses.

All the courses are upgraded regularly and evaluated on a continuous basis to maintain quality. Attendees are invited to become involved in the evaluation throughout.

Attendance Certificates are always provided which can usually be used for CPD. Examinations will be provided for our accredited courses if required. Our examinations are held in accredited examination facilities in Hong Kong or other countries if requested.
