Asta Development, part of Eleco plc, is a leading UK-based developer of project,
portfolio and resource management software.
Asta Development created Asta PowerProject, a professional project management software
tool for the construction industry, which was first released in 1988. This highly
innovative software revolutionized construction project planning and project management
by allowing planners to draw their plans on screen as a linked bar chart, just as
if drawing on paper. Today, thousands of planners in the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific
and the USA use Asta Powerproject, as well as a growing range of software products
from Asta, to successfully plan and manage construction projects of all sizes.
In the late 1990’s, Asta Development created a new enterprise project and resource
management solution to address the needs of departments and small and medium-size organisations. This solution,
called Asta TeamPlan, is now used in a broad range of industries to balance project
priorities, manage teams and their workloads and help drive the business forward
through effective project portfolio management.
Asta Development currently has 40,000 users worldwide. In the UK, it supports customers
directly from its offices in Oxfordshire and Shropshire with a comprehensive range
of services including consultancy, training and technical support. Outside the UK,
it has a network of partners and distributors who supply, train and support customers
on its software in 20 countries and in seven different languages.
