Project Management in Business and Construction

Asta risk analysisProject Management in Business and Construction

York Consulting Group is offering programmes to fill in common knowledge gaps in project management general experience. In construction in particular the project manager is often the architect or the engineer, collectively referred to as the professionals. These groups of people however do not ordinarily gain the heavy duty, hard core management skills required in project management in the design office in which they mainly operate.

When thrust into the complex project management environment, many professionals find themselves in a very unfamiliar and uncomfortable situation. The huge demands placed on the project manager can be very trying even for professionals with mainly contracting experience; but for someone coming from the more gentle side of the industry life can suddenly become very daunting. Training in these situations is vital if the project manager is to have a hope of keeping up.

The management training offered by York Consulting Group is focused on many of the topics which absorb the most time and energy and which are most likely to have consequences.

This training is for anyone who needs to understand or run projects and who has not had the tough general management experience usually considered the very foundation of competent project management. While some of the programmes we offer are familiar topics, such as risk management, networking, planning and so on, we also introduce subjects that are not on the usual curriculums of training organisations.

York Consulting Group wants to provide a more holistic solution to project management training by filling in the gaps and adding more value. Our aim is to help you become more capable, more skillful and more effective project managers.
