A pretty face
A simple uncluttered interface is what you work with in PowerProject. The left column is the "project view" showing all your calendars, codes, resources, costs and other attributes you choose to use in your project. The "columns" area shows as much project information as you want to see or print out such as the activity ID, name, start date, end date and duration. You can have any project information in these columns and as many columns as you want. And as PowerProject is "view centric" you can save all your favorite views so you don't need to set them up each time. On the right side is the "working area" where you can mouse in activities, links, as many activities on a line as you want together with additional graphics and text to make your plan more representative.
But not just a pretty face
For the power users there is much more. A virtually unlimited environment which allows you to model complex projects acknowledging the different qualities of information available at project start up. Add in risk management, earned value, links to your BQ and accounting system and more. Then add Enterprise Server, web access, real time multi user functionality and collaboration beyond your dreams with Citrix or Terminal Server.
